John McPherson is a the winner of numerous journalism awards., including awards from the Associated Press, Radio-Television News Directors Association, the Headliners Foundation, and the press clubs of Dallas, Houston and Orlando. His documentary “The Chemical People” won the Gold Award at the Houston International Film Festival, and his documentary “Unequal Protection” was selected as a feature at the New York Global Village Film Festival. John was awarded a Texas Senate Commendation for his work reporting in the public interest. He is a two-time winner of the IRE Award for the nation’s best investigative reporting.
